The bad guy in the movie, Mega Man's eternal rival, his nemesis. He is the Dr. Wily. It hates Mega Man because he has always frustrated his plans of conquest of the world.
Does Mega Man hates Wily? Well, the Mega Man of Capcom doesn't give signs of it, but in my fiction I suggest that yes that in fact, a very personal problem exists among them two. Hate against hate. Forget good against evil, forget it.
The Dr. Wily is obsessed with conquering to the world. Why? Neither I explain to myself it, only accept it. The interesting thing is the means that it uses: ROBOTS, of all class, of all the colors, scents and flavors. The designs go from the terrifying thing to the nice and inclusive tender. This fellow has a lot of imagination (Of course, they are the Capcom guys those that in fact have a lot of imagination so stop to laughing!!).
I believe that Wily wants to conquer to the world for its own glory, and nothing else. He doesn't want to purify it (like with the gods of Saint Seya) neither to destroy it, but that people recognize him as the supreme boss, maximum leader, divinity that they adore , i don't know ! I think that he was not very popular in the school, so start to try well to those nerds.
Ah! But that yes, he doesn't tolerate to be defeated by Mega Man. After all for him Mega Man is a machine, a slave, designed to serve. For me, Wily believes that the machines should serve the humans and only that. They don't have why to rule. They are inferior. Always! "A machine will never defeat a man! You can write it!" For that reason Wily never believed that a machine should be able to think or to feel emotions. Until he knew Mega Man.
In my history Wily discovered that what helped Mega Man to defeat him was the hate that had him for what he made to his brothers. He found interesting that a machine can feel hate to complete its tasks, for that reason, from the second generation, his best designs, the Robot Masters, were able to feel hate and wickedness, mainly toward Mega Man.
Do you think that Fire Man, Napalm Man, Quick Man or Tengu Man are more evil than Wily? No way. All the violence of these robots had to be programmed by somebody even more evil and violent. They didn't learn anything. They are package wickedness. That is the success of Wily.
Will I miss Wily when everything
finishes? Ummmm... to him not a lot, that more I will miss will be his designs,
mainly the Robot Master's that are much more interesting that the Mavericks.
Although their parallel one, Sigma, is much more interesting. Did you saw Pinky and the Brain ? I believe that Wily would be a perfect Brain, with that infantile desire of being adored and respected by the human beings, that is to say, in Pinky and Brain that idea gives laugh like it should be, but Wily obviously should not fall in that category he is not amid a comedy of the Loney Toones. He should have crazy but less infantile desires. In short what can it be made?
Sigma on the other hand is not interested in that the humans adore him, he wants to exterminate them completely and that its race Reploid is the new dominant race on the Earth, something crudely logical according to the theory of Darwin where the most capable survive and the weakest (us) die.
Yes, clear, but the theory of Darwin is valid only for the animals.
